First market day.

This Sunday, we had our first real Bali Street Paws project t-shirt sale at Le Bajo in Pererenan. I set up, got everything ready, and stayed from 1pm to 7pm.

It was a pretty quiet day for sales, honestly. But I’m still really glad I went. It was the first time I actually put the project out there — in a real place, in front of real people. And I think you need to do that to understand how it actually works.

Because I did end up learning a lot. Like that, showing up is only part of it. That the right place and the right crowd matter a lot more than I thought, that getting Bali Street Pups visible is going to be a process, not just one afternoon somewhere. And none of that feels like failure to me — it just feels like useful information. Progress, just the quieter kind.

Now I have a better idea of where the right audience actually is, and I’ll take that into the next one. The project is still so young. There are going to be more events, more opportunities, more chances to put it in front of people who actually connect with what we’re doing. This was just the first attempt at figuring out how to do that well.

More to come.
